Okay, so guess what I bought? (Look, a picture!)
So now I have this very modern device and I spent a few hours tonight loading on my CDs. I also bought some songs I did not own.
Mind you, much of my collection is not on CD so there was no hope (today at least) for jamming in records and cassette tapes. And I could not find the albums and tapes I owned online to purchase. Very strange. How am I going to get this to work out?
Please tell me, who are these Black Eyed Peas people? Outkast? Coldplay? The White Stripes?
Green Day, I know. But not a whole heck of a lot else. Is any of this stuff good?
There is nothing (I think) on my new device from the aughts.
There is something called peak-of-life syndrome … where one wears the fashions from their youth. This can manifest itself in 80s jeans and such. I don’t harbour any illusions that I looked good in acid wash but is there a musical equivalent?
I don’t think I bought anything new in the music department since I graduated from university. (I have, however, bought several new outfits … including a pair of Seven jeans.)
I need to — as my friend K. says — get with it!
I am open to suggestions. But I have to understand the words, ok?
Thank you for the lovely illustration. Please go easy on the Bruce Springsteen.
I have Meatloaf on at the moment.
not rocky horror?????
Oh yes, Rocky Horror is there. No worrries…One can have RHPS and Meatloaf in close succession.
It’s astounding…
