“There are only three ages for women in Hollywood — Babe, District Attorney and Driving Miss Daisy.”
~ Goldie Hawn in First Wives Club
I recently saw the move Yes Man starring Jim Carrey and Zooey Deschanel. This is not a review, I don’t do those — but trust me, you can safely miss it.
Anyway, Jim Carrey is 48 years old. Zooey Deschanel is 30.
Jim Carrey looks 48 years old. Zooey Deschanel doesn’t really look 30 but she’s an actress and they have some magic skin creams in Hollywood for the not-so-young ladies.
Oh well, I’m not going to write a novel about this topic. It is what it is and I’m not an movie blogger. If I were, perhaps I would watch better movies than that piece of pap.
While researching this post (ha ha) I ran across some pearls of wisdom on the Hollywood age gap/leading role protocol — my favorite one:
Because in our society it is more acceptable for an older man to be with a younger woman. When a younger man is with an older woman it is often considered strange. The woman is even called a cougar. Part of this may be because of two reasons. 1. Men’s skin ages better (it is thicker). 2. A woman stops being able to produce eggs and or being safely able to give birth at a much earlier age then men stop producing sperm.
