bookmark_borderTeenagers in stupid looking pants do not rule the world

I am not one of those people who dislikes teenagers. It’s not their fault — they are still uncooked people full of hormones and insecurities.

But today a gaggle of young ladies in flip-flops and skinny pants really annoyed me.

I was walking home (as I do everyday to keep my figure) and coming in the opposite direction were three teens (or maybe they were in their early 20s I just can’t tell anymore) walking side by side. Like a wall of teenage angst.

Well, I wasn’t going to step on to the roadway to allow them to pass by me in a row. Forget that.

I was — as dictated by the unwritten rules of sidewalk traffic — fully on the right side of the sidewalk and I decided I was going to own my space.

But as we grew nearer, the girl opposite me wasn’t budging (as I suspected she might since I had my serious grown-up face on) despite the fact that she was clearly on my side of the sidewalk. So I looked straight ahead and marched forward.

We bumped shoulders — hard.

And I didn’t care one bit.

Tough potatoes, Missy. Rude young people in stupid looking pants do not rule the world — or the sidewalk.

bookmark_borderIt is so wrong….

I know it is so very wrong so I won’t post this on Facebook — I don’t want to have my house firebombed by some perimenopausal Mom — but I get a special thrill from looking at the people I went to high school with. I say unkind things….I try not to but I do…

I know I am awful but did I ever luck out in the gene department. I was not the most beautiful back in the day but I am one hot babe now.
