Well, it’s been so long since I’ve posted that I thought I would share another thing.

I play poker about once a month ― rather badly. I’m just not as good as the other people I play with. But I have fun and I enjoy the snacking component. Snacking was pretty much the highlight of poker night for me ― until last week, when I won.

Yes ― to everyone’s absolute shock ― I won the game. Kicked ass, really. Played brilliantly.

The thing is ― I’ve played enough to know how to play ― I just get bored easily and thinking (hard) about cards for an entire evening is challenging work. Chatting and eating chips (the part I enjoy) is easier.

But last week, I just decided to concentrate. And I got lots of good cards which helped.

I was pretty worn out after all that thinking so I think I may just go back to my chip-eating ways for a while.

Yeah, that’s the statue of Mary Tyler Moore as Mary Richards.

Yeah, I know I look a bit too happy ― manic even ― in that shot. (Also, I’m rethinking those pants). You see, there was this woman sitting on the edge of the statue for a very long time. The edge is small and this woman’s bottom was not so much, so I figured she’d move along soon enough.

She did not.

And so this shot was taken after shopping (note the bag) in Macy’s at which point I was a bit tired.
