“If you sleep too long you will get acid in your throat and it will burn.”

Two young ladies were chatting about health matters. Sadly, I missed the rest of the conversation.

Hmm, when I was in university I slept a great deal and never did I suffer from any gastronomic upset related to a lazy lower esophageal sphincter muscle. All I ever got from sleeping too long was more sleepy.

Arianna Huffington said recently that she was going to be fearless and announce her age proudly.
She’s 59 and she sounded rather delighted about it. On the other hand, Erma Bombeck once said:

As a graduate of the Zsa Zsa Gabor School of Creative Mathematics, I honestly do not know how old I am.

I feel more connected to Ms. Bombeck’s line of thinking. If you really think about it, she really had a “glass half-full” kind of attitude, didn’t she?

Actually, I am starting to feel better. Really I am. With each passing day I feel more and more grounded.

Yesterday I even typed the number in this very blog.

Besides two of my Friends are in the same boat: Jennifer Aniston and Matthew Perry both turn(ed) 40 in 2009.
